ようやくアルバニアを脱出し、やってきた町コトル。
ここはアドリア海の入り江、つまりアドリア海の始まりとも呼べる場所だ。
その景観の美しさに、多くの人々が観光にやってくる。
そんな場所コトルには3泊滞在。のんびり過ごしたかったので、自炊も出来る
スタジオ(ワンルームアパートメントみたいな部屋)に宿泊することに。
Albania was over, now, we were in Kotor.
This is a cove of Adriatic sea, and also is where it starts.
Many people visit here to see its great view.
We wanted to be here relaxed so we stayed in studio,
where we could cook by ourselves.
ヨーロッパに多いお湯タンク。この中のお湯を使い切るとしばらくお湯が出てこなくなり、またスイッチを入れないとお湯が温まらないので、ここら辺の宿の部屋にバストイレがついてたらまずスイッチを入れることから始めていた。最初の方はこれに気づかず、お湯が出ないー！って叫んでたものだ・・・
コトルの見どころは、城壁に囲まれた小さな旧市街とそれを見下ろすことの出来る要塞跡。
旧市街はコンパクトにまとまっているので、一時間もあれば歩いて見て周れるぐらい。
可愛いお店や可愛い猫がたくさんいるのでなかなかイイ感じ。
ちょっとお土産屋さんの呼び込みはあるけど、しつこくないので問題なし。
Here in Kotor you should see an old city surrounded by walls and
the fortress where you can see the entire city from its top.
The old city is very compact so you can see all in one hour.
There are nice shops and cute cats.
Some souvenir shops try to pull us but it’s ok because it’s not so bad.
要塞跡に登るには、正規のルートから入ると3ユーロかかる。
たまに見張りの人がいなくてタダで入れる時もありそうだけどね。
要塞登るだけなのに3ユーロも払ってられるかって人は、裏道から行けば実はタダで
入ることが出来てしまう。
そっちから行きたい場合は、旧市街の西門を出た後右の方へ歩いていくと見つけることが
できる。一応ある程度舗装されている道なので、登りにくいということは特にない。
To go into the fortress you need to pay 3 euro.
Sometimes there’s no one at the entrance so you might enter without paying.
If you don’t want to pay for it, you can enter free from the back road.
You can find it out of the wall. You need to go out from the west gate,
and turn right and go along with the river a little. Then you’ll find it on
your right. It’s paved so you don’t need to worry.
裏道を登っていくと、小さな教会にたどり着く。
そこから要塞の壁沿いに歩いていくと、壁に穴が開いている場所があり、そこから
正規のルートへと合流することが出来る。
As you go up the back road, you’ll find a small church.
You’ll find a hole on the wall if you walk along with the wall.
Then you’ll get to the regular road.
穴を抜けるとそこは・・・

Kotor!! It’s triangle!!
コトルの旧市街とアドリア海と山とのコラボが素敵すぎる。
要塞跡を登るのは若干しんどいけど、ここは是非登ってみてほしい。
旧市街は団体ツアー客ばっかりだけど、この要塞にはほとんど来ないので
(登るのに時間かかるから)落ち着けるスポットでもあるのだ。
This collaboration with its old city, Adriatic sea and mountains is awesome.
It’s little tough to crime up but you should try it.
In the old town there’re many touristic group and they don’t come up here
so you can feel relaxed at this place.
この要塞跡がコトルで一番落ち着けて良い場所かな。
旧市街も可愛くてイイ感じだけど、人がちょっと多いからね。
(シーズンオフだったから4年前よりはマシだったけど)
I could feel relaxed the best at this fortress in Kotor.
Of course the old city was neat, but there’re too many people.
(Although it was better than 4 year ago because of its season)
観光だけなら一日で終わるけど、のんびり滞在するには良い町かなと思う。
宿のキッチン用具が乏しくて自炊はちょっと苦労したけどね！
初めてフライパンでご飯を炊いたよ。この旅で若干自炊スキルがアップしてる気がする。
良いことだ。
You only need 1 day for sightseeing, but you can stay longer.
Cooking by ourselves was a little bit troubled because of its poor kitchen tools.
It was the first time to have rice with pan. I think I’m getting better of cooking.
It’s good.
