ジロカストラと並び、歴史遺産地区としての世界遺産に登録されている都市ベラト。
ここは千の窓ということで有名。
川を挟んだ両岸にオスマン帝国時代の住居が立ち並んでおり、その特徴的な窓の作りから
こんな呼び方をされるようになったのだろう。
確かにぱっと見の印象は、結構すごい。
こんなにも窓が自己主張する古い住居は他の町ではほとんど見られないだろう。
ちなみに僕らの泊まった宿の窓もこんな縦長の窓だった。
夜もライトアップされるので、こちらもまた美しい。幻想的な風景だ。
Same as Gjirocaster, Berat is registered as World Heritage Site.
It’s known as “A thousand windows”.
Those houses which built in Osman era are on both side of river.
Its unique style of windows made them call so.
Well the look of it is great.
We can’t see those windows which are extremely self assertive at other cities.
Our hostel had same kind of windows, which are vertically longer.
At night it’s also beautiful because of it lighten up.
だが果たして”千の”窓という言い方はどうなのだろうかと。誰が言い出したんだこれ。
100万ドルの夜景の”100万ドル”の部分にツッこむ様な感じで、
ここでも”千”という部分にツッこみたい。
確かに一聞した感じだと語呂が良い感じだし、多分なんとなくの雰囲気でつけられちゃった
呼称なんだろうけどね。
だけど言ってしまえば、千の窓なんて都市ならどこだってあるわけで。。。
むしろビル一棟で千なんて軽く超えちゃうわけで…
千の、なんて数字にはなんのアピールポイントもない気がする。
なんてくだらない揚げ足取るような指摘をする自分。
あぁ、無職住所不定の人間って暇だなぁ。
Well what I wonder is that who start calling it as “A thousand”.
There’s some place called as “Night view of One million dollar” and
I also wanna point out it’s part of “One million dollar”.
Well I suppose it’s called so because of its sound or atomospher.
However “A thousand windows” exist in most cities.
Even a building has more than one thousand…
“A thousand” doesn’t make it better, I think.
Well I know it’s kinda sucks to point out it. I know I have nothing to do.
とまぁ呼称がどうであれ、この町並みはなかなか美しいので一見の価値はあると思う。
一応世界遺産だしね。
あと丘の上の城跡(教会跡)もオススメ。石畳の道を登る必要があるため雨の日は
オススメしないが、そこの景色やそこからの景色もなかなか良い感じだった。
東欧って結構山あるんだね。あまり印象がなかっただけに、意外。
アルバニアなんて見所も少ないし特に行くようなとこでもないから、
他国からの観光客は少なそう。
あえて行く必要もない場所だけど、行ったら行ったで
素敵な場所でもあるなってのがベラトかな。
Anyway no matter what it calls, you should visit this place for these beautiful
looks. It’s world heritage site.
Also I recommend you to crime up to the hill. You can see some old site of
castle and church. The view from there is also good.
(you shouldn’t go there in rainy days because it’s slippy)
I never imagined that I could see many hills and mountains in east Europe.
It surprised me.
I don’t think there’re as many places as we should visit in Albania,
but still you could have fun if you come. That’s Albania and also Berat is.
